ALL ABOUT THE PLAYGROUP AND OUR ETHOS
The Playgroup UK offers pre-school classes and activities from birth, giving our families access to a range of baby and toddler activities, under one familiar brand. This consistency will provide strong relationships between our class leaders and families making us more than just a class. Our mission is to build community and friendship through our activities. We recognise how parenthood can be lonely and we are here to support you through that by facilitating social time along with developmental activities to help your little one thrive in their early years. Therefore, all sessions are a minimum of 60 minutes in length, and all include 30 minutes child focus class/activity and 30 minutes parent socialising with free play. Parents can access refreshments such as hot and cold drinks as well as snacks, then relax and enjoy some time together. All of our groups include access to a WhatsApp group so you can stay in touch between classes.

Classes and activities are categorised by age not development. This allows parents to make the most suitable choice and not feel pressured to move up to the next group when their child reaches a certain age, they can make that choice when it feels right. We offer activities in three groups, all of which are detailed on the Our Classes page.

CONNECTING PARENTS THROUGH COMMUNITY
Our ethos at The Playgroup is focussed on community. We believe that parents need their "village" and our classes can provide the opportunity for parents to build and nurture new relationships. ​

Being a new parent can often be a lonely, anxious time. We are passionate about creating links and friendships to help support one another.

Each session has a designated social time. This gives people the opportunity to have adult conversations with like-minded individuals and discuss their thoughts. All while enjoying a delicious treat and hot drink!
